HUD/RD
The materials in this folder address tenant rights and landlord obligations under federal regulations, including Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) protections, certification forms, and required notices of rights. Included are HUD forms related to domestic violence protections, grievance hearing notices for Public Housing Authorities, and guidance on notice requirements applicable to major federal housing programs.
You will also find program-specific notices covering non-renewals, violations, and terminations of tenancy, including curable and non-curable violations, notices to pay, termination notices following failure to cure, and termination notices that trigger or waive grievance hearing rights depending on the circumstances and program rules. Section 8 voucher-specific non-renewal notices are included where applicable.
This folder should be used whenever managing a HUD, RD, or other federally assisted unit. Proper use of these documents is critical to maintaining program compliance, preserving subsidy eligibility, and reducing the risk of enforcement actions, grievances, or adverse findings by HUD, RD, or a housing authority.
